Here is your all-encompassing Race Day Prep Update

Race Day:  EVERYONE STARTS AT 8:00am Eastern, Saturday, May 8th, 2021.  Seymour High School, Seymour, IN.  All details at  www.circularlogicmarathon.com  Chip timing stops promptly at 3pm so plan on last lap, much like last call at 2:45 pm.

Packet Pickup: Packet pickup will be available race morning from 7-7:50 am at the Start/Finish Line. We are not planning a Friday pickup, but please email us if you need to make other arrangements.

Weather:  62°/47°  Precipitation Chance 24%  WSW 8 mph  Humidity61%     UV Index7 of 10

This will likely change, because well, Indiana…  Plan and dress accordingly. We will run rain or shine. Tornado, severe weather, or government intervention are the only grounds for cancellation at this time. There is a gracious tree line on the north end of the loop, but as the afternoon wears on, expect it to be warm so hydration will be a priority (thank goodness there's a water stop every mile!) Think about sunblock too!

Parking: Runners and Volunteers will park in the Softball/Soccer Parking Lot located on Lasher Dr. Behind the High School. Please adhere to this parking plan – it will insure minimal traffic on the course. – See course map for your reference.

Fuel: Bring your own Water Bottles!  We have a litter-free water stop, which I hope you've already seen.  Each of you will have your own spot on our water tables to leave your bottle.  You can also leave gels or other food on the table...just identify all of it with your bib number.  Details and video are on our web site.  You can also make your own stash of food and extra anything, anywhere you'd like around the course. Bottles will be refilled and sanitized before returning to the water table. We will be emailing bib numbers next Wednesday to help you prep!

Race Snacks: There will be a table of post-race snacks for those planning to run between 5-10K, but if you’re doing distances longer than 10K – feel free to grab a snack as needed throughout the race.  Once they’re gone – they’re gone, so be kind to your fellow runners. Runner snacks compliments of Jay-C Food Store and ResourceMFG!

Photos: free again! This year, we'll offer free race photos for you to download and use as much and in any way you like. They will be posted to our FB Page shortly after the race!

Results: There will be a monitor at the start/finish line where you will see your splits real time. They will also be published on the website post-race and we will update with the link on the FB Page as well.

Awards: White River Running Company is sponsoring finisher gift certificates for top finishers in each category - more to come on that next week! Speaking of them, if you forget something, need a gel stash refill, or anything else running related, be sure to stop by – they’re open Monday – Friday 10am-6pm and on Saturdays, 10am-5pm (so you can use that gift certificate!)

Course: Construction work should not impact our course! Course map is on the website, please review it and get familiar. The first loop will have a .1 and .2 turnabout with volunteers to help keep you on course. These turnabouts will be taken down after the first loop, so have a plan for your intended distance (Marathon and 10K runners will want the .2 turnabout, 5K and Half Marathon runners will want the .1 - all others will simply avoid the turnabout lane and stay on the loop)

MARATHON DISTANCE INFO: Our course is USATF Certified. The course is well marked, and the course numbers are on file on the web page. Those attempting to qualify for Boston Marathon should note that the sidewalk is NOT “on course”, the course is mapped to the roadways and if you use the sidewalk, your time will be disqualified. We will have proctors on the course, so please be sure you are familiar with the course and if you have questions, our race volunteers can help and will be visible by the orange volunteer shirts.

AMLAP RELAY INFO: Team Captain will pick up your team’s baton between 7-7:45am, Individual team members will also need to pick up your packet and sign in. Everyone has a race bib (same team bib number) but there is only one race baton. We will have sanitizer and wipes available. Team Camps: YES! Please feel free to bring a pop-up, tent, music, chairs – whatever will make your relay experience awesome, DO IT! You can utilize our litter-free water stop, or have your own in your camp, anywhere on the course. Your objective is to get your relay baton across the start/finish line between 8am and 3pm As Many Loops as Possible (or less should you choose) – so how you do it is entirely up to you – 1, 2, 3+ teammates running loops together? Awesome! (My team did the final lap together in 2017 and it was a great finish!) Having your team there to carry you every mile is such a great experience, enjoy every minute!

AMLAP CHALLENGE INFO: You can run as many or as few laps as you like within the boundaries of your purchased distance. Should you get super excited and want to continue beyond the 13 loops you purchased, simply keep running and notify the race director when you finish. We can update your registration and take payment at the end of the race. Should you elect to end your race early, that’s ok too! Safety and sanity first! You can take as many breaks as you like, for as long as you like, bring a chair and take a nap (we will wake you before we leave, promise), stash gear anywhere on the course (we do not guarantee its safety from pedestrians or other, so choose your location carefully) and just enjoy this unique race format!

RESTROOMS/FACILITIES: Unfortunately, we will not be able to access SHS’s inside facilities due to COVID restrictions on grounds. We will have 2 Port o Lets on Course near the Start/Finish Line, but remember, there’s a potty every mile!

Construction: The repaving of the teachers parking area that delayed our original race date (the first .2 miles of the course) is underway and will not impact our course!

Have a Great Weekend and we look forward to seeing you May 8th!

Together we run!
